The official CapMetro App provides public transportation riders in Austin and surrounding areas with a range of convenient features. It offers trip-planning tools, fare purchasing, real-time departure information, service alerts, schedules, and maps to make riding easy. The latest update introduces a virtual card called AMP that allows riders to enjoy the savings of a daily or monthly pass without the need to pay the full cost up-front.

Not sure how to get to your destination? Whether you're at home or on transit, simply open the app to access the Trip Planner and easily purchase passes.

Please note that this app requires iOS 11 or higher, although we recommend using iOS 12 for optimal use of all app features.

Key App Features:

<li>Buy tickets for Bus and Rail services. Eligible customers can also use CapMetro Access and Reduced Fares*.</li>
<li>The Trip Planner feature plans a customized itinerary based on your starting and ending locations. It also displays real-time information for select CapMetro services. You can save your favorite trips for easier planning.</li>
<li>Create, manage, and use your AMP card to enjoy daily and monthly fare capping on Bus & Rail.</li>
<li>Check schedules for all routes in the system.</li>
<li>View Route Maps by service and route number.</li>
<li>Use the Next Departure feature to find the next bus near your location.</li>
<li>Report a safety concern.</li>
</ul>

*If you use a Reduced Fare ID Card, you must first visit the CapMetro Transit Store (located in downtown Austin at 209 W 9th St, open weekdays 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) to have a CapMetro representative activate the reduced fare purchasing option on the app.

If you are a CapMetro Access (paratransit) customer, you can register to purchase CapMetro Access passes on the app by calling 512-389-7501. Please have your client ID number available and provide the email address used to register your account.
